Simple project overview

Over the month of December 2019 I worked with Colorado based engineering company SBSA to create a social media driven marketing campaign. The goal of the campaign was to catch the attention of young engineers looking for work and entice them to work for and train with SBSA. I used Facebook Ad Manager to create a campaign tailored towards our target audience. I also worked with three different employees at SBSA to create EVP’s (employee value propositions) to be used in their website’s recruitment page in early 2020 to help further entice possible employees.

project summary

Over the last month I ran into a few problems, had a few difficulties, and hardly had 5 minutes a day where this project wasn’t on my mind. However, I made a commitment to Praxis and to SBSA to complete my goals on a strict timeline, and I’m proud to say I delivered.

Through working with SBSA I learned how valuable proper communication and cooperation skills are. As I had predicted, scheduling things throughout the holidays presented quite the challenge. Had it not been for careful planning and constant communication with the people at SBSA, this project wouldn’t have happened.

In the last 30 days I learned how to use Mailchimp, Facebook Creative Hub, and Facebook Ads Manager. I also completed interviews and gathered EVP material from 3 different engineers at SBSA to aid in the campaign. To top it off, I created 4 different ad mockups, and set up a campaign that is set to launch on the morning of 12-30-2019 and run through 1-30-2020.

Although I didn’t end up using Mailchimp in this campaign, SBSA has asked me to continue working with them on an even larger project to expand their offices in Idaho and Texas. We will be implementing Mailchimp in order to plan and spread news of recruitment events in each state.

The end results of our marketing campaign wont be known until the end of January 2020 when the campaign concludes, once that information is gathered there will be a final recap post added to this thread as well as changes made to this summary.
